Don’t Retreat Church

So many decisions face the Christian today, and many voices tell us what we should do in these challenging times. One thing I know, when we retreat and attempt to protect ourselves and our childen from the harsh realities of today’s culture, we leave behind us a hugh moral vacumn. We as the church must take our places alongside those who disagree with us. We are not always loved, but we earn the right to be heard because we continue to serve our nation and to be part of the people who are attempting to make a difference for others.

The church has always been at odds with much of our culture  and has suffered and been persecuted for her stand on moral abuses-both within her and in her worldly arenas. If we live our lives serving others as He did we may not change their opinions but they will see that we are trying to follow Christ ourselves.

If we are to have any lon term impact on our society , we must do more than preach to them or 0pray for them. We must identify with them. Jesus didn’t come to persecute sinners but to offer them life-His own.  He literally gave Himself away to anyone who would receive Him, and we who are His body today must be willing to do the same. We can gain the whole world and lose our own soul or we can do as He did and allow Him to use our lives, finances, talents, and minds to build His kingdom.
